Introducing | FIVE NEW COLOURWAYS FOR ANNI STRIPE
Expressive stripes meet a considered approach to colour and form
We’re delighted to introduce five new colourways in our Anni Stripe fabric. A longstanding favourite in the collection, this design has been reimagined in a palette of rich, grounded tones: Tide, Sienna, Mallard, Brick, and Clover.
Originally hand-painted in the Imogen Heath studio, Anni Stripe brings a softness to geometric pattern, with expressive, painterly lines that nod to woven structure while embracing a freer rhythm. While the design draws on the visual language of textile pioneers like Anni Albers, it is distinctly rooted in Imogen’s own approach to colour and form, celebrating craft, structure and spontaneity in equal measure.
Exploring the Palette
Each of the five new shades sits within a broader colour family, designed to complement our wider collections: You can find our full fabric collection in our online shop, where you can order samples along side the wallpaper and passementerie collection too.
BRICK
Shades of terracotta and baked clay sit warmly against the oat linen ground, bringing richness to the fabric.
The Colour Story
As with all our designs, colour led the process. Each new shade was chosen for how it sits alongside our existing collections. thoughtfully selected to complement both pattern and plain, and to feel at home in real spaces.
We looked to nature for cues: colours that feel rooted and familiar, but with just enough unexpectedness to bring energy to a scheme. The result is a palette that feels considered yet fresh, easy to place, and designed to sit comfortably in different spaces.
Inspiration
Anni Stripe carries a quiet reference to the woven textiles of Bauhaus weaver Anni Albers, a designer whose approach to form, structure and material continues to inspire. Originally hand-painted by Imogen in our studio, the stripe was created to form a contemporary take on a classic pattern, one that feels crafted and characterful. The hand painted lines offer tonal colour variations and gestural marks to make this stripe unique.
