Design Diaries | Pattern at the Beach

Nature has such a rich diversity of colour, shape and pattern, it’s not surprising so many artists and designers look to it for inspiration. Being on the Sussex coast, the beach is an obvious place for Imogen to go to spark creativity.

The varied colours and repetition of shapes to be found in the pebbles on the beach; the undulating ripples carved out of the sand by the tide; the changing shades of blue in the sea and the sky; all have found a way into the Imogen Heath collection - such as Heather, Skye and Dorothy seen below.
